I recently bought a 99 civic si. The head was redone not too long ago with skunk2 stage 1 cams and the skunk 2 valve train. The car has 145,000 miles on it and I was looking into a cost effective power solution. The car already has a full exhaust with a high flow cat. My plan was to get a gsr block and use it with my b16 head. Where can I get a gsr short block? Also if I buy a header for my car now will I run into any issues with the gsr block? Is there anything I really need to take into account when doing this swap? As long as I get a hondata ECU or something like that I should just be able to slap it together and go right? Thanks in advance for the input.
You can keep the stock ecu but hondata is great, Buy any gsr block and yes keep the b16 head. If you get a obd1 gsr block swap the oil pump out unless your gonna use hondata
Your in the right direction but b16 blocks are good too save your money and build it!
