Default RSX setup

Motor is fully built, its not sleeved though, he has a back up k block that will be going to golden eagle to get sleeved . We will start off with a few part pics, and move on to the model pics. This is a customers build, he is going with a full-race turbo kit and pretty much ***** out on everything else.

The lucky engine

His turbo, second from right

Two of the k series, one is built, one going to golden eagle

Here is a photoshoot that was done with his car, the deadline wasn't met so it had to be towed around for the shoot lol. So yes, no motor pics yet cause its still being assembled.

But you do know its kinda like building a d15 theres the whole inferior issue. Theres the shitty crank the block has no oil squirters the head has barely vtec. That intake manifold cant be replaced by any other one (correct me if im worng) I mean you may be replacing all of that but than youd be left with an inferior block ? and a bunch of great parts inside it. Is the backup motor an a3 also? if so WHY? I understand theres alot of them but the motor does take a good while to come out in our cars its not a 2 hour job

Yes, and yes the intake manifold can be changed. The customer opted for this block, he had the extra back up one shipped here, I had no say in the matter, it just showed up one day.

Everything you said would be nice if it was the better block, but in the end he still will make the power he is shooting for. Yes d16 blocks are nice, but people still can make power on d15's

its going to be boosted and forged parts. you don't need the oil squirters. if you replace everything in there its going to be the same thing as any K20 block minus the oil squirters

Any more pictures of the models? I mean setup?

That car will look much better without the rims, headlights, and front bumper. None of that F&F stuff.

and dont get me wrong you can use the block yeh but the crank is still an a3 crank even with forged rods the crank breaks you still will detroy a good amount of stuff.

Also ive put together a d15 in my EF before and they can preform but its still not gonna hold up to boost in the long run

Yeah that^

k20a3 crank will not hold any power over ~300whp. What turbo is that and how much power is he shooting for?

Why won't the crank hold any power over 300whp ?

gt30R, and the power is going to be determined by the tuner and what he says. We are shooting for as much power as possible, with it still being reliable.

So that will all be determined by our tuner.

The k20a3 crank is a lot weaker than the k20a2 crank. The rod journals are a lot smaller than the k20a2. It can't be revved as high. If I were you Id recommend to him to ditch the k20a3 internals and pick up a k20a2 crank with aftermarket k20a2 rods.

What are you guys planning on revving it to. At 400 it should be fine though depending on rev limit.

What ever is safe and what ever we make power to. As for the crank, we will be fine, show me a k20a3 that failed due to the crank not holding up. Its a honda crank, it will be just fine.

Got the engine in finally, had some issues with the fuel rail, so it had to come back off the motor. Did some teaser shots of the manifold.

Comp clutch

Instead of just round holes for the injectors to sit into, they have a little gap, which was just rapping the fuel injector seals.
