H22 help
Ok, I'm thinking of putting a H22 in my CRX DX, and I tried looking for tips before writing this, and I mostly got something about how an intake wouldn't fit, and people complaining about bad English. So back to my question. How hard is this, I know I need to weld. I'm pretty good with a welder. How hard is the wiring, does anyone make a conversion. I'm sure I could do it (the wiring) myself, but I really don't want to go that route. Also, has anybody used the H2B bracket. I'm debating using a GSR tranny I've got.
its really not that bad of a swap..you have to remove the passenger mount bracket and weld in a new one. do some bangin to make room for the intake manifold and the tranny....do some hackin to the front cross member...unless u have a aftermarket and for the wiring i know its not that bad but i would just go through rywire and get the conversion harness.. better safe than sorry...if you need in depth instructions sport compact car mag september 05 did the whole swap and it show pretty much everything.....g/l
I personally prefer H2B over a straight H22 swap in anything other than a prelude/accord, simply because i don't like the feel of the H/F series transmissions.
An H2B is very possible in an EF, but it's not very "bolt in". It takes quite a bit of prep. It's not as straightforward as a regular H22 swap.

What kind of prep are you talking about with an H2B. The only reason I want to go with a B trans is I don't like the way the H shifts, I prefer the linkage of the B. And I'm pretty sure the B's have shorter gears.

Well, depending on which kit you go with, you may have ridiculous hood clearance issues. Aftermarket alt. bracket, modified or aftermarket header, BS eliminator kit, crank pulley clearance
