Hopefully I can actually get a reply on this one. I have a obd2b gsr swapped into a 99 ls. I need to put a charcoal canister back on it. The bracket for the canister on the 2000 and 2001 obd2b engines is different and so are the diameter of the hoses.

Question: Can I use any 96-99 charcoal canister or does it need to be from a 99 only? Is there any difference between the 99 and 2000 canisters other than the bracket and hose diameters? Also, will the plugs be compatible for the purge solenoid from obd2b to obd2a?
