How do you replace it and what is the cost of the part and laobor cost is?
Have to start car in second gear will not go into first gear will go into drive and all the other gears what else could be wrong with it?

 

its easy to replace its right next to the front upper monotube sensor(fums) and right above the crankshaft interval measurer (cim). let me know if that helps

 

Does your green shift light stay on? My 91 accord had the same problem and it turned out to be the computer for the transmission (located in right front floorboard had burned out capacitors. A tech friend good with electonics repaired it for $50 and so far-so good 2 years. New computer would have been over $550 for new part. Transwould start out in 2nd shift once to 3rd no overdrive. Look for info on checking for transmission failure codes.Good Luck.
