Default A-Spec Brake Pads?

I remember reading, Car & Driver I think, that the 2004 RSX-S A-Spec had different performance oriented brake pads compared to the regular RSX-S, but the same rotors. I called Acura and they said all the RSX Type S' had the same pads. Anyone else heard this, I have an 04' A-Spec and have to replace the pads soon.
A part number would be sweet, thanks

I would get ATE super blue brake fluid, its a good bit cheaper. Also look at the HP+ as the HPS are only slightly more aggressive than stock and they overheat and glaze pretty easily.

I have HPS with slotted rotors on my EP3 and I love it. I think they are way better than stock and don't have any problems. Mind you I don't go to the track ever. Just spirited back roads.

I know there are a host of aftermarket options, which is what I will most likely go with. I was just curious as to whether Honda actually offered a high-performance brake pad with the A-Spec package, or if it is just a standard issue Type-S pad. I know they put brembo blank rotors on the type-r for example.

$679 for rotors and pads? Usually A-Spec stuff is fairly priced, but damn.

Yea, certainly not looking to drop $680. My A-Spec didn't come with slotted rotors either, although I know they varied by region. Some A-Specs had different tires too, dependent on where the dealership was located.

You could have gotten PowerSlot front and rear slotted rotors, Hawk front and rear pads, stainless steel brake lines, and 2 bottles of motul for the same price.
