Default 2000 accord barometric sensor - does it need to be replaced?

I'm at the mercy of a honda dealer because I do not have a Honda hook up in the Joliet, IL area. They claim my barometric sensor is bad and I need a new computer. (Considering the temp between yesterday and today is a 30degree difference, I have doubt its really malfunctioning) My question, how necessary is this to replace? I Have bad EGR flow, need to clean out the goop also. Is anyone on who has a reliable guy to go to and get the truth?? thanks....
