I need to know if anyone has any idea what air filter from north america will fit in a jdm crx sir. I got the car and there was no filter in it. I tried the North American crx air filter and its not the right size.

I found online that k&n sells one with description: "crx, 1.6l, vtec, non-US" part no: 33-2061. Does anyone know if there is an oem or fram filter that matches that k&n, or if that k&n is even the right one?

 

Why not just throw a short ram on it?

 

i thought it must have the same filter as some honda/acura that was available in north america, but it appears not. So i'll either put a short ram or swap the airbox for an regular si one.

 

did you have this at the miramichi a couple weeks ago?

 

I dont think there is any US equivalent, most people get the K&N since it is readily available in the US

 

just get a short ram as previously stated.

 

I decided against having a loud intake system and located an oem SiR intake box and tubing. I was lucky to get mine with a K&N.

I just got the car last tuesday. There are 3 that i know of in Moncton NB, a grey and black (different body panels) and two black ones mine plus a glass top.

I have a couple calls in to local shops to get me this filter and i used the cross reference on the k&n site and it appears that there is no disposable air filter that matches this size, all the cross referenced ones are for north american crx.

Its gonna take a couple weeks for the k&n to arrive, in the mean time i think i can get an si aribox to use.
