Default my new ef project

well after parting the old turbo eg out i figured it was about time to do a car that i never owned. ive done integras da's and dc's, a few egs, but never an ef. i found a rust free never repainted one off my friend for 2,000$ with an ls swap in it and some minor mods.

i began the cleanup process first with getting rid of this awful cage the old owner( not my friend) put in it. now i have seen some ghetto fab stuff in my day but this cage about takes the cake for the worst fab job i ever had the liberty of tearing out. some of the plates were not welded it some just had bolts. the rear peices broke off the main hoop while cutting. it was that bad. so that was first to go.

ill be updating this pretty frequently now so check back for more stuff.

plans within the next month are:

install my new black crx dash and black interior to get rid of that pimp blue

install rear disc swap with skunk2 shocks and g/c coilovers

new rims

new hood/bumpers/lip and some paint

wire tuck and some more interior stuff.

so here is the beginning of the pics in all its glory

from the honda-tech meet in pittsburgh

dan cuttin the cage out

we take safety seriously

wheels are for sale if anyone wants them. 04 civic wheels with 195 55 15 bfg g force tires. 250$

just a small update:

i got pretty much all my black interior now to switch over from the blue. ill be putting all of it in this weekend along with doing my new headliner.

car might also be treated to some new wheels and a new motor setup. also the valvecover is coming back from paint next week along with a wire tuck and some other odds and ends. should have tons of pics coming soon.

if anyone has a pass side black 90 91 door panel i got some cash for you im having a hard time finding this stuff.

this is how the stuff looked when i pulled it from the yard. some cleanup and some interior paint will make it look like new

new str cam gears/fuel rail/oil cap/cam seal and shift **** + b&m fpr. i'm still waiting on my itr boot and a few other little interior things before i put it all in

some updates:

bought a new set of konig britelites for my car only to find out after jacking the car up the front shock decided to freeze up after i lowered the car down off the jack. no clue how this happened but a new set of tokico shocks and ground control springs solved this problem

also picked up a nice set of black da seats, started putting in the crx dash as well as doing the headliner. i hope to have everything installed and ready to finish up the interior here within the next week (door panels, rear panels ect..) only thing after that will be new carpet. i also am waiting on my new steering wheel and hub to come in

my valve cover should be back from paint here soon as well

ill post more pics as it gets finished up. this is what i got for now

dash coming out:

new rex dash going in

this is the wheel im waiting on

Conrero suede wheel with a momo hub

list price was 200$ but thanks to ebay 35 bucks shipped used

You happen to know the weight of the 04 civic wheels?
they seem any heavier than what replaced them?

yea they were alot heavier. i replaced them with konig britelites which were obviously pretty light especially compared to an oem wheel.

id say they weighed about as much as a set of fat 5's or si wheels

i still have the door panels, the dash ect.. that i took out if your asking cause you need it.

if your asking what i have done upgrade wise i swapped that out for a crx black dash and center console. i just heard from a guy today that he has a few si interiors for sale so im gonna try to pick one up along with some new seats. after i get my carpet and headliner the interior should be about done for now. then i can start working on a few other things like paint and a wire tuck/turbo setup
