88 crx si...car still wont start
o now i return with my tail between my legs onceeee again...
ok so now my new list of problems goes as follows...
i installed the braided fuel line and the new harness...i havent hooked vtec up yet bc i wanted to make sure all other problems were fixed before i really started plugging things away. I am also not too sure which connectors are replaced with the rywire connectors on the harness, but I havent tried too hard.
ANYWAYS so 2 weeks ago I went and got the basics hooked up like i said...i was expecting the engine to turn (of course not ready to actually run)
the engine would not budge...it was like trying to get a fat guy out of a booth in wendys...visual...good...i unhooked my fuel line...no fuel. I went back to the drawing board and found out that it could be my main relay bc i wouldnt hear any clicks or beeps when the key was in the on position...o yea no fuel pump either...how could i forget...so i went back to resolder the connections on the relay. I also had a spare one to plug in just in case...
NOT A DAMN THING...on either relay...and the ecu led light isnt coming on either so it cant be just the fuel pump.
and to make things work i tried putting it in gear as my buddy held the cluth up on the actually transmission and it would move forward with the clutch engaged????????!!!! Plus my 88's clutch cable is too short and i thought that it would fit. drama drama drama. Oh did I mention that after it jumped from being in gear it would get stuck in first...so i have no idea what is going on with that.
Moving on from the transmission I found another headache in the form of the mess under my dash. When taking out the head units someone cut some wires as shown in the following pictures...i assumed it was just from the heater, radio, and ac...but some of the wires were live...also some things are missing from the fuse box under the dash (maybe the problem)
None of the harnesses under the dash never really match up completely. Some wires matched but others didnt so it wasnt like i could just solder them together...it didnt seem right...here they are in their glory...
Grand scale view

harness from under left side dash

close up of same harness

CU of harness by heater

and now the upside down/out of focus fuse box under the dash

right side up and in focus

thanks to all who take the time to look
