Rear Shock Bushing help
got the bushings all cut and beat out of the lca. i looked at some ES bushings but the kit for my car is 130+ dollars and i get a bunch of ones i dont need. or i can buy oem ones for 10 a piece.
will i be able to press in those bushings while the control arm is still on? i dont want to unbolt it just yet, cuz i know ill be cutting and torching bolts... or iftheir is a second option let me know

I've done it before, its not easy. I used a snap-on puller some big washers and an impact to turn the puller. without that stuff i doubt you'd pull it off.
My KYB bushings went in with some lube and a couple taps of the hammer, try them if the OEM dont go in easy I guess. Or you can sand around the bushing until they do go in
I ended up having to cut the bolt torch out the old bushing then put the new ones in... Sawzall ftw.

Yeah, exactly. I also have both and forget which i used, i think it was the 2 jaw. it was a royal pain in the ***. you'll need some large washers where the hole will be bigger than the center metal insert in the bushing, then you will need a solid metal piece over this so you can push in the outer part of the bushing, otherwise you're just gonna be trying to push rubber all day and its not gonna go in. You will need grease as well. To anyone whos never tried it, OEM bushings will not go in tapping on them with a hammer no matter how many days you stay at it.

ill try figuring something out, i wish i had my camara, then i'd post up a diy on this, i searched and couldnt find anything on the subject really. i guess, i could with my phone, if people dont mind 1.3mp pictures?
i got a few days before the new bushings come in. i wish i had a small arbor press that i could hold under there

Energy suspension makes just a kit for the shock bushings. however you still have to get the metal shell out of the lca to install the new bushings but then they just can be tapped in with a hammer
the only one i could find from energy suspensin was a full kit for 130, for the 95's they sell just the shock bushings by themselves. which if those will fit in the lca, they would be perfect because the shocks i have to replace the ones cut off are off an integra.
well either my local napa arent the smartest people around, or just dont know what im talking about.
they just told me that they dont carry those pushings, and i asked about poly ones, and they didnt list anything for those.... does anyone know the part number for the es bushings? the only ones i have been able to find are only for 5th gen.
