I just finished up my swap I need to know what tranny is in there. I don't know if it's just me but the gears seem really short. The motor is a b18a1 from a 90 teg I know they come with s1 trannies but so do the jdm b16. Cruising at 60mph in 5th I'm already at 3000rpm. For those of you with b18a1 swaps is this normal?

 

ya man. its normal, i have an b18a1 with an A1 tranny and have 205 40 17 tires. At 60 mph my car is about the same rpm as yours,maybe higher, i know mine at 80mph is 4000rpm. What size tires are u running?

 

what other tranny's if any would fit? Ls?

 

All b-series will fit

 

i thought ls trannies had long gears
