JDM B16A emissions(for a friend)
he failed bad in pa and wondered what he might do to fix it....he still have a bone stock si exhaust on the B16A....any suggestions
I live in PA and if you want to take a little ride I can get your car inspected and emissions done for like $75. I live near Philly. It a suggestion I really don't think his car is going to pass. I have a b16a in my civic and it doesn't pass emmission either but I can get the hook up if you need it.
You could do the usual things they suggest when you fail smog:
tune up
new cat
o2 sensor
blah blah blah...
Clean out the throttle body and intake manifold too...and make sure the cat's warm when you test.
Your friend went and did a pretest right? Because if you fail a real smog test...your car gets "gross polluter" on the record...

I can't wait to see how my crx handles emissions. It has a b16a with intake, stock header, old cat, and exhaust. I want to see how it compares to my cobra. I just had the emissions done on it yesterday. I was shocked by how well it did. It is stock except for a 6 pound supercharger. I'll post the results of both for comparrison next week.
