Default Catalytic Converter

Some of you know that I failed my smog inspection earlier today...Anyway, my next step is to get a new catalytic converter. Should I get a stock Cat for a 88 Civic DX (year and model of my car) or a stock Cat for a 97 LS Integra (year and type of my motor)? I'm assuming that the length of both Cat's are the same, I could be wrong, but should I be using a cat made for my type of engine now that I did a swap?

If you have the jdm 4-1, then you can't really get either of those without cutting the heck out of it, can you?

I think I read in SCC that Landspeed racing makes Powercore cats (headers also) but they will make the cats in custom lengths. You just send them the specs and they'll hook it up for you. Don't know about cost, I haven't looked into it myself...but hey, it's worth a try.

I will take the jdm header out and replace it with a usdm type r (cast) 2 piece exhaust manifold that I have sitting in my garage. It has the same bolt pattern and length as all stock b-series exhaust manifolds. Only difference I think is the high flow chambers and slightly larger diameter...I bought it from someone who replaced it with a DC header and claims that he didnt gain any power in doing so...I'm sure it'll bolt up to any stock spec cat.
