Default Question about idle

I need some help with a problem. My 1988 CRX Si idles high. 90% of the time its around 2000-2500 rpm. I've asked a ton of people what they think the problem might be and no one has any ideas. If I'm stopped and I turn the key off and then back on immediately, the car will stay running but the idle will go down to where it should be. But as soon as I hit the gas even slightly, the rpm's go right back up. I appreciate any help that is given.

Thank you.

Check your Idle air control motor. You might also want to check for vaccuum leaks.
