Default My clearcoat is peeling, need a cheap way to fix it

My cleacoat had a chip a while ago, when we got the rain from the tropical storm water started getting in between the paint and clear. When it evaporates it lifts the clear and makes it spread. Could I just sand all the damaged clear off and spray it with some rattlecan clear? I really don't have several hundred dollars to fix it and its spreading fast. How would I prep the surface? Thanks for any help

I don't care about it looking rigged, I just don't want all my clear coat to peel off. If it comes out rough, I can just wetsand and polish it smooth

that will not work ^. There is no point in attempting to fix this a half *** way. No matter how you do it besides repaint it, it will look like ****. You can't sand it flush and re-clear it because you will see where the clear peeled off. If the clear peeled off and base is showing, the base has already been exposed to UV and changed color. It would be a very obvious ring.
The only way to repair this the correct way is to blade off all the clear that is peeling, then sand and repaint the panel.

It will work...but it's going to look like ***. He does want to do it for extremely cheap...sooo he gets what he pays for.. I just say you wet sand the whole roof to remove all the clear, probably spray some red on the faded spot (more than likely your red is faded too) than clear it.

It not actually on my roof, its just right above the rear window of my car. I'm just looking to save what paint I can. I really don't have the cash to take it to a body shop so I'm just looking for a band aid until I do have the money. Oh, my car is teal, no read..not sure if you were actually talking to me about spraying the red though

yeah I don't know where that came from either...lol..If that's the case, just feather edge the spot and do it till you blend base coat with clear coat..and I think that should hold out for a bit.
