Default shift boot?

i wasnt sure if this was the right place to post.

i was wondering if anyone knows what the length and width of the hole for the shift boot on a 89 crx si. my rex is currently at the shop, otherwise i would have measured myself.

im trying to 'retro' fit a shift boot.

found this on google:

and heres the shift boot im trying to fit:

along with this shift ****:

now im not sure if anyone done this before or if its considered 'rice'
but i do wanna try something with a different look, cause im tired of the shift boot falling half way down the shifter.

any help would be great. thanks.

That boot your looking at is kind of getto. Why not use a factory Integra boot and shift ****. They fit snug and don't fall down the shifter...here's the setup in my crx

Also, Preludes and accords have similar setups

dont get me wrong i think it looks great but everyone has that kind of setup.
im trying not to run down that path. probably 6:8 people have that.

plus i wont be using the same exact shift boot, but something similar.

hey I have the same shift ****.. I know exactly what you mean about the boot not staying up, hated it.. I'm using a shift boot from a DC (has that sweet O-ring on the top unlike the ugly stock shifter that comes with our EFs) with a twist tie on the shifter stopping it from drooping down..

yeah man. that shift **** feels pretty good when driving. i can get a good grip with it, cause the front of the **** has that curve.

and the only reason i chose that shift boot is because i think squared shift **** looks better with squared shift boot. IMO.

i got a plastic washer that fit snug onto my shifter to go under my handle so the boot doesnt fall down.
