Default want something quieter(spellcheck??) need opinions.

ok well my car as of right now is way to loud. its got greddy piping with a 3A racing muffler with a test pipe and no cat. well i dont wanna keep risking getting a ticket so...i want something quieter (as stated in the title). i dont wanna go to a stock exaust so i want some opinions on some nice sounding quiet exhausts and that arent to pricey. thanks in advance for your input

the greddy sp2 is pretty quiet.....i think all greddys are under 95 dbs now so they all should be pretty quiet

well eliminating the cat and resonator will make it lous and raspy... the 3A is a N1 style type muffler right? most likely it will be loud either way...unless you have a silencer that you can throw in

I say get a cat first then go from there. if you don't have a converter in the first place, you might not pass smog anyway. But if you still want an axleback... I have an rsx-s muffler fs in my sig. it's fitted for a 98 coupe, but it might fit an eg... that's another research though. gl

i suggest an A'Pexi WS2 exhaust..those are almost stock sounding during idle/cruising but louder if you floor it.. and it's one of the lower priced systems out there right now.. you can youtube it and check to see if you like the sound

most any exhaust is going to be loud if it doesnt have a resonator, i have a apexi worldsport2 muffler and the car is still very loud, i have a high flow cat and no resonator. so if your looking for something quiet make sure you have a resonator and go with something like a worldsport, greddy sp2, and i think tanabe also came out with a new exhaust that is pretty quiet from what i hear.

Get the apexi world sport 2 catback...I got mine for 420 shipped here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1817892. At WOT my intake is louder than my exhaust. It's actually louder at low rpms but still quiet compared to other cat back systems.

can you put a silencer insert in the muffler? if so get one from ebay, they're cheap and help tremendously

RSR exmag is the **** officially im running mine on a fully built motor with no cat and the loudest thing is my valves its really quiet it comes with a resonator built in and its top top quality... wen your cruisin u cant even hear it but wen u get on it it sounds like its just suppose to be on the car.

or you can just get a custom exhaust. I have a lsvtec with the hytech rep header, 2.5" aftermarket cat and 2.5" piping all the way down to a vibrant muffler and it sounds awsome. Under 4k you hear a real deep low tone. when i get on it its not even that loud. My intake is kinda louder. I can cruise at 4k without any probs

thank you all for your opinions so from the majority the RSR and WS2 catbacks sound like a pretty decent choice. im going to look further into these and make my decision out of the two
