Well, my friends all think im crazy...but I probably am. I have a habit of buying POS things, putting a ton of money into them then selling it without even getting use out of it. Well I bought this 2002 f4i a few months ago as a complete basket case (i have a thread here somewhere about the frame up build). Stripped it down to nothing, sent everything out for powdercoat, new bearings everywhere on the bike, new fairings and painted them all pearl white. The bike is absolutely flawless now. The problem is, I kinda miss my old gsxr. This f4i feels really weird to me in the turns, I rode my other buddies f4i and it felt the same way, so I know its not just my bike. Plus I was never a fan of the f4i styling.
I just got done with the bike and I missed almost all of the riding season building it, so naturally im going to finish out the season on it still since I just purchased all new gear/insurance/ title transfer etc etc.
My question is, if I list the bike right after riding season is over (oct-nov) do you think I would receive alot less for the bike then if I wait all the way until next spring? I know bikes sell for less during the off season, but then again I would be selling this one and buying another right away. I added it up and I only have about $2700 into the bike. I would really like to see $4500 if I could get it. She has 25k on her now, but the new engine has only 7k.

I don't think you will get 4.5k for it, but you may as well put it up for sale at that price and see if anyone bites. And if you don't like the offers you get, you don't have to sell.
I'd just post it on craigslist and see what happens.

id personally hold on to it for the rest of the season and if you still dont like the bike sell it in the spring. btw, id check your front fork adjustments and maybe it will handle better. i had an 02 f4i that went down and it handled great, just as good or better than my friends 05 gsxr 600.
