vss??

Is a sohc and a dohc vss the same? if so are the wire the same???

Yeah, but they're most likely calibrated differently based on the wheel's overall diameter.

As long as it's coming off a car with a very similar overall wheel diameter (which it is) your speedometer shouldn't go off that noticeably.
