p28 vs p72 for a 99 b16

p28 is cheaper.. and can be reprogrammed for dohc.. so I think the smarter choice is the p28..

Chipping will allow the engine to run properly, neither one of those ECUs is designed for that engine, and they wont have the correct fuel and timing maps for a B16, if you don't want to chip either get a P30 or a P2T.

i have an obd1, would it make a difference which chip i go with? p30 or p2t

get an obd1 p30 - I actually just sold mine not long ago as I am getting rid of my b16 and goin back to a z6

as far as chip b16 is b16 is b16 for the most part - jdm is different than usdm but minor differences.

personally I'd reccomend you save the hassle and go through phearable

P30 seeing as how its OBD1, P2T is OBD2. Wasn't sure what you had before.

If you have an obd1 (p28 i assume) its best to get that ecu chipped for a B16.

You live here in cali, there are lots of people local that can chip your p28 with a p30 ROM.

phearable is a good choice, little expensive however.
