DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THIS WIRE COME OFF FROM?????
i was cleaning my fitv and found a wire that came from the intake manifold and was jus hanging as if it came loose from somewhere...but i dont know where....i pulled the hose up so you can see it better....heres some pics....

looks like you have two PVC valves for some reason. What year, model of car is this?
Maybe a better pic of the full motor from the top would help.

thats the hose that isnt connected to anything, it waz jus hanging underneath my IM....but if thats the pcv valve...then what is the brown peice on my engine valve cover???
swap the valve cover back to the 90-95 style then you can plug that lower PCV valve hose to the intake manifold where it belongs.
right now you have 2 pcv valves. one is not doing anything.

thats the valve cover that came with the engine...its suppose to be a 96 ls...i dont understand why it would have 2 pcv valves...
That little guy usually goes connected to the IM. It doesn't seem to me like what's connected to it right now should go there. My 2 cents.
its easy... obd2 b18b with a 90-93 integra intake manifold on it... the b18b's usually always have pcv in valve cover unless u got a early 94 which had the older style in the intake... either way looks like u got 2 pcv;s when u only need one... no issue leaving the hose disconnected or getting rid of it all together!
oh i see....well thanks for the help everyone...i guess ima jus try and find the valve cover without a spot for the pcv
From what I remember, I think that hose is suppose to be connected to some hard metal piece,
that goes with another vc hose to the intake piping.

way to rep orange park.

Its fine, just leave it alone. Don't waist time and money getting an older valve cover. If you already have one working then forget about the other one.

You need to verify what year the engine is, specifically the block. 94-95 OBD1 B18B1 blocks have a breather chamber box on the rear of the block, with the PCV valve in the top, and a tube running up to the intake manifold (larger portion of diagram below).
96-01 OBD2 B18B1 engines do not have that breather box on the back of the block at all. They only have the PCV valve in the valve cover with a tube going directly to the intake manifold (inset portion at lower left of diagram below).
If you bought that engine thinking it was a 96+, you may have been scammed and it may actually be a 94 or 95 B18B1 with higher miles on it.

hey i think it does have the breather box...i saw something black back there, and it has a little valve with a hose coming out...and i think i saw a hole, which im thinking is where my loose hose goes into...ill try and take a pic of it in the morning so you guys can correct me if im wrong
on what patrick said, my 95 obd1 has the pcv in the im and that hose you are wondering about goes to the fitting where your current pcv is connected to. so you got 2 hoses and 1 fitting. just in case i wanna do the obd2 vc too anyone here got advice for blocking his vc pcv hole or hose, or the im one? or anyone thinking he'll have any idling probs? i thought having the pcv vacuum open would give a higher idlenot sure if i helped but just my .02
well that makes sense then because my car still idles at like 1300 rpms even after i cleaned and screwed the fitv all the way in, screwed my idle screw all the way in, and cleaned the iacv...it starts up at like 800 but when its warm it idles around 1300....so how should i handle the two hoses??
looks like the head is from a 96 ls, but the intake manifold isnt. the 96 intake manifold does not have a hole for the pcv valve to go to the breather box in the back. look on the back of the block, and if you have a breather "black" box then the block is not from a 96, even though the head is. or it is possible that someone swapped out your valve cover to make it look like a 96, when it isnt. look for the black box and you will know.
