wow... 15k?!?!?! if i were you i'd start with another car, maybe a 2nd gen crx and go from there, should be alot easier. then go LS turbo if you really want a turbo car. use your 86 rex as a daily driver while your other car is out of comission

15 K on a import is a lot.... get a 2nd gen for about 2K then a b20 Turbo with Nitrious then add traction and left over for some paint/ bodykit/suspension etc. that is enought to do an entire car in one week 24 -7 id work on it if i had unlimited finds.

$15k is a lot of money to spend on a 86 crx...

but if you insist...start with motor swap?

I second the B20 turbo-nitrous ...But mind you all, 15K will go quick. I spent close to 12K on mine and I'm not even done yet...Just add up 5K for a fully built B20, 4K for the Turbo with all the necessary add ons and not to include, Tranny, clutch, suspension, seats, carbon fiber stuff or fiberglass to lighten the car and roll cage (for a 10sec car)...Good luck and enjoy spending your 15K, we're all with you all the way...

Stick with the 1st gen if it's in very good condition: For the engine use the B20z block with a type R head and go turbo..

15k! damn, if your taking opinions, i would get a 2nd gen, get one of those indestructable blocks from darton, sleeve that sucka, bore it out. 2 liter, then boost that thing with a blitz turbo kit till the cows come home!
