Dead Alarm due to Jump Start
I gave a person a jump start, assuming he would know to put the red on the positive and black on the negative/ground, but he put the wires on the wrong terminals and my alarm will no longer work (keyless entry, siren etc) except at times when I hit a bump and the door lock engages.
Where should I start looking for problems to fix? I have a lojack unit installed back in 2001.
In addition, can I swap out my remote for a different remote, the buttons in mine are sunken in.

check out your fuses dude next to the alarm box unit theres like 2 fuses or more depending what alarm it is.
I had the same problem dude with the jump start on my cousin assuming he knew what to do he put the connectors wrong so the battery blew up in my face but only sparks though, good thing it wasn't the acid.

it depends on were lojack installed the alarm system. Since lojack did it it should not be to hard to find
Can you see any shock sensors under the dash?

I don't think I have a shock sensor on the car, it only goes off when the doors are opened. So if i find the lojack brain, the fuse should be inside it?
