So i'm gonna do my head f23vtec head ( ported n polished ) onto my F22a4 block.
I have phantom grip lsd, stage three clutch n lighteded one piece flywheel, 10:1 CP custom pistons, ported n polished intake manifold, I , H , E , an adjustabe FPR, and a WALBRO 255, MSD blaster ss coil. Stock injectors for right now .Ultimately after i break it in I'm gonna throw a 120shot wet, maybe direct port.
I have a POA ECU ( 94 ACCORD EX 5speed ) I'm hoping that this ECU will hold me over until I get a professional tune with hondata ( was planning on just raising the FP a little ).
Do I need to get a P28? Or is the POA just as easily modified?
What about a used set up. like saying the POA could be modified, but i find a used set up like a p28 with S200.
My buddie has an 99 accord turbo and he has a P28 with S300.
He said it was around 400$ to have it installed. Just thinking it might be a good idea to find a used one.
a VAFC wouldnt be enough tuning would it?
any advice appreciated.

A P0A won't do anythign for your projected setup. You might as well wait until you get your Hondata setup. Your going to need a 92-95 Civic or Integra OBD1 ECU. Not necessarily a P28. They can add VTEC to a P06 very easily when you get the Hondata unit installed. A P0A cannot be modified like a Civic/Integra ECU can be.
Why are you swapping to a F23 head?
Your going to need to ditch the stock injectors, might as well get some bigger ones now. They won't cut it with your projected setup. I'm by no means a Nitrous expert but isn't 10:1 CR with pump gas a bit dodgie with a 120 shot????

want VTEC and it will flow just as good as the stock f22a4 head, since its been ported n polished. I plan on mixn race fuel. and no cat., for the track, and 93or 91 on the street. not going to be spraying on the street.
so for my swap to use that ECU I have to switch pins A11 and A6, i think
would i have to switch any pins for the ecu that you mentioned or the p28?

So i do see some different setups on ebay, I'm sure i could find some on here as well.
the S200 should be sufficient correct?
that can be tuned of a computer?

If you can find an S200 yes it will work.
As for your pin swap question I'm not a VTEC fan and I don't know much about how the swaps work. Take a look into the Accord FAQ's sticky. I believe there is some info in the swaps section. I'm sure there are a few threads on adding a VTEC head to a NON VTEC block.

Ive already read the FAQ thread about it.
I'm more concerned about getting a reasonably priced computer/hondata.
And need to know what to do.
Electronicly it would be the same as putting hondata on a 94/95 accord EX 5speed.

Is Hondata the only system you have looked at for tuning your car?
Who are you getting to tune your car?
I would talk to the tuner that will be tuning your car. See what he is most comfortable with using for a budget build. He may suggest a P06 and eCtune.....who knows.

ya they use hondata. like i said my buddie has a 99 accord f23 turbo @16 psi with hondata s300 and a p28. tuned a adrenaline in stl, mo.
I did a little more searching about it. From what it seems to me there are only a few more advantages with the s300. the main being the USB port. from what i understand the S200 is tuned by the datalogging port which you have to have the case of the ecu off to use.
but regardless i think if i can find a S200 i will be happy.
so like you said i need to find an obd1 ecu for a civic/integra with S200 if i can
I looked on hondata's website and :
Manual transmission only.
The stock ECU cannot be used, and must be replaced with another OBDI ECU.
1994 and 1995 vehicles need to re-wire two pins in the harness (O2 sensor heater and EGR)
thanks for looking out ghost!
