okay, so here's your check list of things to do. I ran into the same damn problem.\
1. look at your ECU, assuming you know where to look, see if you have any codes blinking and let us know, so that we can offer suggestions.
2. You will need to disconnect the IACV (Intake Air Control Valve) plug that rests behind the Intake Manifold. This valve when unplugged acts as an open in the circuit and will throw the check engine light on. Do it only for the fact that you removed the IACV and cleaned it out. Did you thoroughly clean the IACV and left no residual brake cleaner inside? This might be affecting the performance and could be the cause. Wash it out with water since that is what you have flowing through it anyway. The best way to disconnect that sensor is to use a really long standard screw driver with a somewhat slender or narrow head on it and lift the fastener and at the same time, pushing the sensor down so as to disconnect it. Once you've removed that, the motor will shockingly idle extremely rough. you might as well check out your idle at that point and see if you need to adjust it.
When your done, shut the motor off, reconnect the sensor and then reset the ECU with the removal of the fuse as I mentioned above.
3. Have you changed the plugs and or checked the gaps on them recently?
4. Check to see if your Distributor is still operational, I guess it is since your able to get it running for a few minutes.
5. Check the distrib. cap and rotor make sure that they are in fair condition, otherwise try and replace those 2 items.
6. The O2 sensor...Your car is how old???? yes, I replaced that using a NGK/NTK replacement it cost me about 35.00.
Once you done all that start it up once more and hopefully you should have a better running motor. Fuel pick up is rarely going to be the issue as our fuel systems are pretty well designed. I haven't heard of vapor lock on Honda motors for anything...but who knows.
3. To reset the ECU, take the Hazard 10amp fuse out from the engine compartment. leave it out for 10secs.
I also found this.
