Default wiring probleme

I'm having a little wiring problem.

PIC NOT OF MY CAR
the wire in the pic... first of all my car is a 91 civic dx, and i put a d16a6, but the engine did not come with the wiring harnest, so i found a wiring harnest laying around that came off a sohc zc. the plug coming from the engine has 8 wires, but the one coming for the car has 12, what do i do.

thanks in advance

Did you do the appropriate modifications for the DPFI to MPFI swap? I don't know what's involved, but that may be your issue.

Also, are you sure that you are matching up the correct plugs - not trying to plug one of the connectors from the opposite side of the bay in there?

Yes you have to use the dx harness and wire up the resistor box. Look up on the faq thread under DPFI to MPFI swap
