how to replace dash vent?

Default how to replace dash vent?

Do I need to remove the entire dash to swap my passenger side dash vent?
or is there a trick?

there are little metal clip things on the side. if it is already broken just pull on it and it should pop out but it may be very loose to put back in.

well if I end up with a lose vent because I just muscled the old one out, then that wont be acceptable.
I would be trading problems, not fixing them

any other ideas guys?

wrap a flathead screwdriver with electrical tape and put it on one side of the vent and just pry, once you get it to pop you can pull it out by hand its very simple. I have "borrowed" a few from junkyards and have not broken one yet
