Mods that Honda Service won't complain about
What are they? I figure a K&N filter wouldn't get noticed and they wouldn't care, but I wont get **** for performance gains. I'd like to get some performance gains without having the service guys bitch. I read axle back isn't worth it, possibly replace the mid section pipe? new down pipe? Mugen intake because its Honda branded? What are your thoughts? Apparently the shop guys at my local dealer are picky, curious if anyone here has had warranty issues.

Mugen isn't going to be Honda branded. A mod is a mod regardless of Spoon, Mugen, whatever. Unless you buy it from the dealer and they install it you could get screwed.
Personally, an intake isn't that big of a deal. unless they can prove you broke something cause of your mod you are fine. I have a decent amount of mods on my car and they service chief at my dealer is fine with it. Even up to the point of given a warranty on a tranny.
Good luck!

I'm pretty sure that they can only void the warranty if the modification can be directly linked to the problem. This comes from the Magnuson Moss act.

Anything that doesn't interfere with the functionality of all the car's components such as emissions, should be no problem. A shorty header, properly connected to the catalytic converter, then a cat-back exhaust system would be fine. Any intake would be fine, but if you install a CAI and ruin the engine due to hydrolock, it will not be covered. Basically anything that is a bolt-on and not an internal should be fine. JDM Honda parts should be alright, properly installed, such as JDM Honda sway bars.

You could get the ASpec or HFP suspension. As long as it was installed and aligned correctly it should be a non issue.
Seems like most people want more than what the aspec and hfp suspension have to offer though.

As long as the suspension setup is installed correctly, it should interfere with little. Obviously, if the suspension actually causes a failure, then it would be your dime. However, if a suspension component breaks without the fault of the aftermarket setup, then the dealer cannot blame the aftermarket setup just because it is there. Your warranty would still be valid. The Honda warranty actually covers little that would actually wear out or break. No part that ever failed on my vehicle was covered in the first place by the 3/36K anyway.
I know you USE to be able to put thing comptech on your Honda/Acura and it wouldn't void the warranty. Im not sure about it any more I just remmber we would have some supercharged S2000s with a full warranty. you just have to have Honda/Acura do the work.
