Default skunk2 pro series for a modded gsr?

I have a 95 gsr it has short ram intake, 00 itr cams, 4-1 headers with 2.5 collector and 2.5 exhaust header back. Some guy i ran into wants to sell me a skunk2 pro series manifold with a hondata gasket and he said all sensors for cheap. i have a vafc2 for now but changing to something better when i get it tune. im on cell phone at work and CAN NOT search on it.
1. do you guys think it will be a good mod for my car?
2. what are all the sensors I will need?
3. and do you think my car will run richer or leaner from the intake manifold?( just wondering)
4. do you guys think i should raise or lower my stock gsr vtec point?(just wondering)
im going to get it tune afterwards in about a week or earlier.

thanks appreciate it. i have not computer to search the most my cell will let me do is post.

Yeah it would be a good addition to your car, I just bought mine to go on my 94 GSR I am just waiting for my new CIA to come in then I will change mine over to the Skunk2.

When you change the intake you will need an intake for a LS/GS instead of a GSR, the GSR piping curves downward where the LS/GS does not.

If your getting the Hondata gasket with it you will probably need longer studs and a few other parts from a ITR or LS/GS. (throttle cable, throttle body pulley and throttle cable backet on the top of the intake.

You will need a P28 ECU with a GSR basemap also otherwise you will see a dip in power when the GSR butterflys are supposed to open.

Here are a few links to the install for a Skunk2 (blox is the same also)

Hope this helps.

i'm pretty sure the aebs p72 im works better than most for that particular head. take note, an im change will shift ur powerband higher. with ur basic, untuned set up, u'll lose a shitload of wtq switching over to a single stage im. i'd just port match the dual stage (68mm tb entry & runners), install a hondata style im gasket, and run a pp 68m tb. u should hold power close to 8k and manitain strong low-mid power. swap out those itr's for some bc3+ and u'll have a nice street car. too many people sacrifice pulling power for 8whp up top that only appers in the last 500-600rpm b4 redline

hmotorsonline has the type r intake tube and aircleaner box for $50. you also need a fuel map with less gas and more timing in the low rpms. a p73 map with an 8200rpm redline wouldn't be far off. the whole problem is the GSR manifold has two stage runners. in the lower rpms the small runner have a much faster airspeed than the single stage. as such more gas and less timing is used. i had the same issue on my vette when i ditched the TPI fuel injection. without remapping the fuel and timing curves the big *** box that now sits on the motor ran like hell. make SURE you address the ECU problem when you do the manifold swap.

^ everyone pretty much answered the question. w/ the OPs mods it would be beneficial to use a single stage manifold like blox, skunk or aebs. you can reuse all the sensors off your old manifold.
either get a chipped ecu or a p73 for now. use your vafc to change the vtec to a point where its seamless a DOESNT
"hit hard, yo". the stock p72 will bog at 4400 all the way to 5700. you can also lean the part throttle tuning a bit to get it closer to tuned, so go street tune it. dont touch the high cam profile unless you get a wideband or someone to tune for you.

thanks guys appreicate it. would it really be a benefit of doing it. because it sounds like a hassle to get type r or ls throttle cable, throttle body pulley and throttle cable backet on the top of the intake and get a chip. TBOGSR can you let me know how it goes when you put it on.
