ign module brun up on 91 accord h22a swap
1991 accord w/jdm h22a
I have been told that the crank angle sensor is located in the crank area itself, and not in the distributer like in the f22a and usdm h22a, h23 ect.... and this is why the ign module is burning up.
Is there a common issue I missed here?
I could use some quick help as I am flying out of state in morning to drive it home and ATM it does not start now.....
*more info* the car is a 91 accord Ex Auto origionaly, This car only came with a internal coil distributer, the engine is a 92-96 h22a jdm "red top" with jdm lsd 5 speed.
The ecu I is a JDM ecm for that engine out of a prelude,we have the auto and manual ecm/ecu's. The probelm is the ignition control module keeps getting hot and frying, after running the car for a few min. I belive also the car will not rev above 4500 rpm also.... I have been told that the dizzy is the internal coil stock h22a jdm dizzy. We are replacing the ign control module with the 93 usdm prelude h22 module. This is all the info I have been given....
Also I have a usdm 93 prelude external h23 dizzy that I plan on taking with me, as well as a fresh 93 usdm prelude ign module "ignitor". Also I plan on taking the 91 accord stock ecm/ecu with as well. Jut in case.
What can I do to convert this internal coil jdm dizzy to use my external coil usdm dizzy, and if the dizzy isnt the problem, or it isnt the crank angle position in the dizzy isnt the problem either what might I be looking at?
Thanks..
