I am wondering why an integra would be burning oil. it has 160K and all services were done at dealer but they said that its natural that the car would do that... It happens to cars over 150K. it burns about a quart of oil between changes. How can i get this fixed??? Thanks ahead of time.

 

ok get a leak down and compression check done and that will tell u but most likey its rings or valve seals

How hard will it be to get that done? I am just curious.

 

Valve seals aren't that hard to do, but you would prob want a mechanic to do them for you. Rings would require complete engine removal and disassembling to do it right. Do you notice blue smoke coming out of your tail pipe at all??

 

no but i am never in back, will try that and see. How much should i expect to pay for a rebuild?
