ok to start ive tried searching and came up with nothing useful, okay now some background i drive a 06 si and i hate the seat belt alarm. is their any way short of going to a junkyard and buying just the connector to shut the alarm up.

and before you tell me im going to kill myself by not wearing my seatbelt, im a firefighter and an emt i know the consequences of not wearing seatbelts.

 

is there a monthly qouta to fill every month to ask this question on this forum?

As far as I can tell, quicksearch is not finding anything with keywords: seatbelt, disable seatbelt, seatbelt alarm, seatbelt beep. Just my 2 cents.

thus avoiding the alarm all together.

clip the seatbelt first before you sit and sit over the frikin seatbelt.. lol in that way you get rid of the setbelt alarm and you satisfy your self not wearing one...

Just get another buckle from the bone-yard and clip that into the receiver.

 

I am also an EMT and I would never suggest that you NOT use a seatbelt, but what is the deal with the seatbelt locking up all the time? I know about the pendulum etc. but mine locks up whether stopped, accelerating, cruising, etc. I took it to a dealership who said it was a safety "feature" but I think it's just annoying. My other car does lock up but not near as much as the Honda does.

 

ill tell ya what, i took a hotel room key and cut it the shape of the seat belt buckle, stuck it in there and the seat belt light goes out and there is no chimming...

Let me start by saying that I am an avid seatbelt wearing individual, but I have many friends that don't. They are adults and know the consquences of not wearing one. My friends pull an excessive amount of belt out, loop it around the seat back, then clip the belt in. This will get rid of the chime, you won't have to uncomfortably sit on the belt, and it is out of sight.

 

I guess NY does not have seat belt laws like we do in CA.

My girlfriend is a Firefighter, an EMT and a Hazmat Expert. I showed her you comments and she laughed so hard the soda she was drinking came shooting out her nose. She also had a few choice words for you being in public safety and being an advocate for not wearing a seat belt.

 

after my accident in my FG i will always wear my seatbelt...

When you pull the seat there should be the wires going to the air bag and the wires going to the buckle... obviously theyre under the carpet....


since i have never tried this in a new civic i'm not sure but if you disconnect the two going to the seatbelt clip and wirenut them together it will complete the circuit...


obviously check polarity first... shouldn't be any on one and the other should be +
thus creating a loop to prove continuity...

but like i said after my accident... which was relatively small i realized

I felt like i had gotten beaten in the face with a shovel and chuck norris had crushed my body.. thank god for the seatbelt or i wouldn't have been able to move lmao
