b16a compression???
the other day i did a compression check on my b16a block and it came out to be 300 stright across. i was wondering if this can be good or if this is a bad thing please help me out and let me know
thanks Nick.
thanks Nick.
i dont know what it is exactly suppose to be but something about that number seems to high im thinking low to mid 200's is right but im not to sure i would check again but i may be wrong.
Unless your gauge is calibrated and certified I wouldn't give the actual numbers much thought. A compression test is a troubleshooting aid to point you toward a bad cylinder where you could then do a leakdown test to further pin point the problem. You can do a compression test with three differant gauges and get three differant readings. It's the consistency of the numbers across the board that's important.
