brake fluid leak
i changed my shocks and springs last weekend and ever since then ive had to refil; the brake fluid holder every morning....i can see a lot of brake fluid that leaked onto my passenger side rim...i jacked up the car and saw that the brake line was kind of glossy and wet....but it waz gettin dark so i really couldnt see anything else....wat do you guys think is leaking??
BAD MOJO! Dont drive the car with a brake fluid leak, the problem with hydroliq hoses is that they can burst open under extreme heat and pressure after they are already damaged, if you have to slam on your brakes there is a higher chance that you can have catastrophic brake failure. I would address this problem as if the car was immobalized. Of course you could always downshift and pretend you have brakes.
If your loosing fluid its either 3 things, hoses, bleeder screw, leaky caliper, but if you havnt noticed much of a pedal fade than its more than likely a bad hose, since a loose bleeder screw or leaky caliper would alow a higher volume of fluid to escape the system. Inspect it during the day and please please dont drive the car.
Under normal circumstances you should never have to add brake fluid to a system, it only gets low on fluid as your pads wear down, but once you replace your pads the fluid should return back to the regular level. It is a completely closed system that is only affected by humidity, which is created by temperature change.

ok thanks for the heads up...ill look at it right now and try to fix it ASAP...ive been driving it a lot, and ive noticed the break pedal gettin looser and looser....i guess it must be a hole in the hose....
ok...so i checked it out and it seemed as if it has a leak on the hose...should i take it to the shop and get it fixed?? or jus fix it myself...if someone can tell me how to fix it myself then ill do that 2morro
If there's a hole in the line you need to replace the line. Take it to a shop or do it yourself is up to your ability a access to tools. If you have the tools and time and can bleed the system once replaced then do it yourself. If no to any of the above pay someone to do it.
