Default Help me and my 98 Prelude.

Brand new to the site guys and looking for a little bit of advice. My engine has been hesitating between 3-4k RPM when its cold, really badly in fact, and i havent noticed any problems at any other engine speed. Its been doing this for some time, but its starting to get pretty bad. Also, the Vtec isnt kicking like it used to. When i get up on the throttle and hit it, the engine hits a real low tone and it feels like im going nowhere. I recently replaced my old wires to 8.5mm ones which helped the problem for a bit, but its back. i know the car needs a cat, o2 sensors, and egr valve, but i used seafoam awhile back and the codes for the egr and o2s have left, musta cleaned em out.
Thing is, wehn i swapped the the wires, I removed my intake to make room. i have an AEM intake with bypass valve and the housing for the valve ive noticed is litterally falling to pieces. I was dumb and didnt bother to check inside the filter before replacing it, so im wondering if a small shard of plastic got sucked into the intake manifold. The hesitations been there for a bit, but this vtec problem didnt begin til after i removed the intake and subsequently put it back on. Since ive owned the car, it burns oil like a bitch too, so who knows, coulda just had bad luck bying it.
Thanks to anybody for reading this novel ive written and any help and advice would be much appreciated. I lost against a stock integra RS, this shouldnt have happened, and im sure this can give u an idea of how bad the engine is hurtin right now.

Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated. Ivesince done a compression test and it came back real low. When i got the vehicle, all four cylinders were over 200. Now, its 150, 160, 170, 160. Ive lost alot of compression. This could be rings i would imagine?
