I'm kind of curious about this topic as well. For the GC/ Koni combo are we taking a koni yellow and then putting on the gc sleeve on it? Cant you get a custom set up thats all in one from GC?

What are you doing with the car?
I know some great shocks but will be over 3k a set so please don't say money is no object I understand you'll pay for something good but well money is an object for most anyone to a point.
If you are willing to spend up to a grand you can get a great setup, personally what i'd consider one of the best possible, and you can adapt for most any setting... before you buy though.

like with any suspension set-up, you need to decide if you want adjustable dampening. if you do, I think Koni yellow's are your best choice. if you only want adjustable ride-height, you need to decide if you want everything in one piece (full-on coilovers) or separate struts and coilover sleeves. you can spend the same amount of $$ on a separate set-up like skunk 2's and Koni yellows (and you have both adjustable dampening and ride height) as you would on a non-adjustable full-on coilover like skunk 2 pro S or tein basics.
ground control sells them where they are kind of put together. they did some modification to make it like a full on coilover. but I'm not a fan, because you are really buying koni yellows, eibach springs, and ground control sleeves. i think skunk 2 is a much better choice for a honda. eibach is more of a european tuner.
IMO Skunk are good, but to stiff on the street for my liking. For the money i'd go with a set Tein's or even the one offered by Megan racing which came in a crx i bought last week. The ride is very good, and the car handles very well, better than i expected.

As much as people on here talk up the Koni/GC setup... i have sleeveovers with a firery pasion... id recomend the PIC Selects, by far THE BEST coilover that is made for the ef chassis...
