Faded milano red EF. Red Wax?
I just picked this car up a few weeks ago and the top and hood of the car have faded a lot over the years. I'm planning on cleaning the car up this weekend and giving it a good wax job. Has anyone had any experience with that red wax stuff and do you think it would be a good idea?
Thanks yo.

I've used it before. It works ok on faded parts, restores the color a little and shines pretty well. It doesn't last very long though before you have to re-apply. Maybe a couple washes.
Don't use the "chipstick" that comes with it though, it doesn't work.

One of my buddies reccomended it to me, it's literaly red wax that is supposed to make faded red paint (pink) look red again. Not sure who makes it. I'm sure there's a couple of companies though.

It's called Color Cure and comes in many different colors. It's really nothing great, but it does temporarily restore the color from faded to not so faded. It's like 8 bucks a bottle at your local autostore, Turtle Wax product.
They sell it at Autozone (at least the black ones). I ad a bottle once. Tossed it when it spilled in my trunk. Wax was junk. Chipstick was the best part of all. I still have the chipstick, 3-4 years later.
OP, snap some photos and post them in the Paint & Body section asking for some detail advice.

I work at autozone and none of our stores carry anything but the black. Some pepboys carry the red as of not too long ago. Like mentioned it doesnt work all that well the lip stick chip filler worked great. It filled them in really well and the smaller ones you couldnt even see after you waxed it.
They call it Color Magic now btw.
Here's a thread discussing it. They say it washes off and is very soft.

And Turtle Wax's site, which only shows black and red now.

I checked the SKU for the red at Autozone and they can't get it.

Maybe the black chipstick is better than the other colors, because when I tried using the red chipstick it just filled the scratch in dirty red/black.

I have the red one. I used it on my Milano Red '98 EX coupe.
I didn't expect it to be perfect. It's a wax crayon. It looks a hell of a lot better than light primer though.
