08 600rr FE kit reviews?
Sup all,
Recently picked up an 08 600rr and need to do something about the stock tail asap. I have done some research on 600rr.net and am aware of the tripage kits, ect. After looking at some of the bikelitez kits and other similar ones, does anyone have one or know how bright it is? While eliminating the stock fender I want to keep safety in mind and on alot of these kits visibility seems to be an issue. Just looking for some feedback on the kits you have.
example.

Thanks

thats the worst kit, you still have regular turnsignals not an integrated tailight.
heres mine, going with the integrated tailight makes it alot cleaner.

not cheap, but definitely best quality and it does look waaaay better then stock in my opinion. I personally like the 03-06 converstion too, but I didn't wanna cut up my new bike

I have the same setup as Hooligan, same color bike, but with a stock exhuast.
If you take your time and are meticulous with the cuts you make, you can get the tail light to fit almost perfectly. My solo seat cowl does not have the fitment issues that most of the other people's do.
*EDIT*
My friend made his own custom tag bracket that locates the plate imeddiately under the exhaust (about 4" inbound from the tip), and added the Iwin Moto tailight. I can honestly say that the Iwin Moto tailight is a piece of crap... it looks like something a guy made in his garage, becasue, well it is.
The fitment is very nice, but the quality of the product is garbage and the price is too high.

I was thinking about getting the Iwin light too, good thing you said something. I was reading about it on 600rr.net and it seemed to have pretty good reviews. It was between the Iwin and Jneer light. But I heard about some issues with the Jneer too

My friend bought it based on all of the 600rr.net reviews and was severely disappointed. He had to wait nearly 2 months to receive the product (after paying in full up front) and stated that the customer service was pretty poor.
Here are my observations of the light:
Yes, it is the brightest; the pulsing before the brake light comes on is a nice touch and should let people behind you know what you are doing. The turn signals are there, but as with any integrated tail-light/turn signal combo they are too close to the brake lights to really make much difference. Most tail lights have a black plastic housing and some form of a smooth, translucent lens for the light to shine through... I am not sure what the housing is made out of on the Iwin, but it looks cheap and is not finished in the least. The lens seems to allow light to come through just fine, but again looks really rough and unfinished... it lacks that glossy and smooth surface found on all of the OEM lights. I didn't really look at the wiring, but I am sure it is on par with the others. All in all, I couldn't justify spending the extra money on it versus the Clear Alternatives (03-06 model). The Iwin gives you about 1/2" more trunk space and 'fits' better, but my CA after some time fits just as well and looks a lot more professional and finished up close. Light output is also pretty close.
BTW, look for my friend's review of the product in the next couple of days.

heres mine, going with the integrated tailight makes it alot cleaner.

The integrated tails look nice, but the brake light and turnsignal visibility is horrible in the day (the exhaust blocks a large portion of it).
I would not feel safe riding with one of those. Idiot cagers already dont pay enough attention to bikers as it is.
I'd rather have an "ugly" brake light than have a car run up my *** 'cause they didnt see the brake light.

theres plenty of exhaust that make the integrated tailight very visible, the leo vince, akrapovic, devil, ive seen them all. i unfortunately got the yosh which is the least visible and im probally gonna get something else.
everyone i ride with is **** about having proper turnsignals, mirrors, brakelights and all that and they all surprisingly said my bike is visible.
and by the way, keep rocking your ugly brake light

Thanks for the replies, after doing alot of research that review of the iWin is the first negative review I have heard about it minus the customer service. The light still looks more visible than the competitors and good finish. After looking at this link I went ahead and placed an order and will wait for it. The dude at iWin said they were backed up but now with a 2 week wait as of 8/25. Also ordered the tripage adjustable FE kit

I was in the same boat as you, but I ordered the "Targa" Fender eliminator. I love how clean the integrated ones look, but I want as much visibility as possible on the street. Good luck with your purchase, post some pics when its installed!
