Wow that thing is sexy. I'm liking the gold rims, I've been looking for a good color to go with my DAP EK and gold's looking good right now.
You said that's a 2001? I didn't think they made the Ek passed 2000.

Too bad ur H-T name isn't ur real name, seriously, my respect value woulda went through the roof it it had been. I double checked ur profile after you introduced yourself as your H-T name - confused me for a sec.
Nice hatch, bit too flashy for me.
Gotta clean up the condom & laundry dryer hose as the air intake though. Damn.

Yeah, the EDM 1.4 hatches went from '96-'01...I'm guessing the 1.5's followed a similar path.

you're right about the airbox I'm planning on remaking it in carbonfiber
and that hose you talk about happens to be aircraft material, heat resisant and 70dollar/meter.

The air doesn't heat that much at that part of the pipe - just wherever it's lifting from (fender if ur using a CAI type setup). You're pretty much wasting that crap by putting it there. The air moves too fast through there to be heated to any significant amount by the engine.
