Default FS: 1990 FZR1000, very nice shape

posting this for a friend... the bike is in very good shape. located in central illinois. both this guy and the previous owner (the one who built it) are more into looks and image than performance. so the bike has been babied

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">tentatively selling my 1k. $3000

shes polished up, has an barely used ohlins on the back that retails for 1100 bucks

91+ FZR1000 USD front end, stainless lines to YZF750 SIX POTS

6000K HID's

2 seats, one with one without OEM seat cowl.

stainless rear line

ported head, 1040 kit, backcut tranny, FP PRO shift kit

akrapovic ti header to V&H SSR2

carbs are jetted and it comes with a whole spare FP Config 30 and 135 mains that are supposed to really make this baby fly, it pulls the front in 1 and 2 with just power already, supposed to lift it really bad in 3 with the 135s and FP needles(its hard for me to wheelie anyways due to my short stature I am always leaning on the bars hard)

Has pilot powers with life left on em. helibars too, 520 kit thats newer and still looks that way

this whole bike is really mint, half the reason I've been riding the 600 is my fear of messing up this puppy

wow now that is really cool. What kind of horsepower do you think it makes? I believe the fzr600 of 92 was making around 90bhp..?

I think this bike would be a great sport tourer with some panniers and a top case.

I dont really remember for sure, but that sounds kind of to high for a early ninties 600... I am guessing in the high 70's The 1987 genesis 1000r made about 122 RWH which was massive at that time. in 1988 it was made more softer and lowered to around the low teens. the second gen 1k was back up to around 120'ish

I rode one, reached +140 without too much effort. My first experience riding a liter bike.

These things will run on forever if properly maintained.

The more I look, the more I like. I didn't notice the Ohlins and the updated forks. Yummy.
