Need to know if im reading this right
For autox they say that your shocks can have only a max of 2 external adjustments(stock class, weird i know). so how would i count that on a shock? would the 2 external be for re bound and bound? like for example, the kyb agx, or even the koni sports(yellow ones). they would be considered to have only 1 external adjustment, right? was just wondering cause if there legal then it would be a better buy to get these then the regular non adjustable ones. am i reading this right?
Yes. The idea is to exclude the big $$$$$$ triple and quad adjustable shocks (high and low speed rebound and bump all separate external adjustable) while still affording you the ability to put an adjustable shock on the car. Why can you put an adjustable shock on your car in stock class in the first place? Because its actually cheaper and easier to enforce. Force everyone to use stock shocks and someone will have to provide a shock dyno in the event of a protest if it is suspected someone opened their stock shocks and changed the valving. At several thousand $$$ for the shock dyno, plus the need for a trained operator and a bunch of adapters so you can attach the shock to the dyno and this option quickly becomes logistically "impossible".
I'd go a step further and suggest you get their "Race" valved SPSS3 shocks... they'll have a much wider range of rebound valving which will likely help you tune the chassis in HS. Also, Koni is set for a 10-15% price increase sometime next month... this is due to the fall in the value of the dollar over the last several years. Get 'em before the prices go up!!!
PS
Louis at LTBMotorsports.com usually either has them in stock or can get them quickly.

hmmmmmmm............... if only i had the money right now. but even then the women probably won't let me get the really nice ones anyways. going to have to wait for winter time to start buying parts, then get my tax return real quick and probably buy some nice hoosier A6's or a nice set of hankook's. gotta beat that damn mini.

ok, need to add another question. since you can't use polyurethane bushings cause that would be a different material then rubber, are there any other companies that sell hard rubber bushings besides mugen? or can i get away with polyurethane?

damn that sucks, was hoping i could have gotten away with it. damn it. now that screws up my whole plan. well i guess that well make it cheaper in the end then. but would have been nice to have gotten a whole bushing kit.

yeah, i know but if i decide to go to ohio next year, and they ask, or test to see what kinda of bushing i have, then i might be screwed. know what i mean? if nationals weren't in my future plans then i wouldn't care. the local stuff, and people don't really care about the grey area in the rules but if i really wanna try and make it to nationals next year, then it's only black and white. basically saying if they don't say that you can do it, then you can't do it at all. mugen bushings might look the same but if they have a way to test to see if its oem, i don't want to be bumped up a class and looked down upon like a cheater.

The trailing arm busings are almost the exact same durometer in the oem and mugen bushings. The rest are not.

i just have to add that it gets so frustrating thought when you keep losing by a few tenths of a sec(damn heavy *** 4door). but so gradifing when you win and know that you beat them with a heavy *** 4door with over 240,000 miles.

That would be rebound or "compression".
Let's raise the bar a bit, syntactically speaking.

New OEM bushings will still be WAY better than your torn original ones. I doubt YOU would be able to tell a difference between new OEM, Mugen, and anything else. Except maybe for the binding polyurethane would cause. That's not meant as disrespect, just speaking to your level of experience.
