Default Custom Honda Exhaust for the 2007+?

Hey guys,

I have contacted a private seller about his s2000 2007, which stated that it had a custom honda exhaust on it. I asked him about this and he said that his buddy's car or (most of the parts such as door, lights, etc etc) had gotten stolen, and he got it back or something with his insurance and replaced all the parts (??? maybe it was his buddy's insurance...). He also said that the custom honda exhaust is an option for the S2000's model 2007+. I don't think I've read about this on any website... and google didn't help much either (only popped out motorcycle exhausts and other people's custom exhausts, not Honda's).

I was wondering if that option is really true? Or is it something similar to that he has mistaken it for? (since it is originally his buddy's car... assumably).

Now, I haven't asked him in depth about the car over the 3 minute quick convo over the phone, but he says he can't drive it since his size doesn't allow it, so I'm guessing he doesn't know anything about the car, but he still says it runs beautifully as well as looking new... and the car's only like 18,000 for a 20k mile.. sounds a bit shady hmm (phew, now that's a long sentence)

Thanks for reading this long entry guys, lol

So it sounds like the car has a salvaged title. First find out if this is true or not. Run a carfax on the car to get more details. You are also going to want to find out if you will be able to get it insured and put it on the road. If it was salvaged, it will need to have been inspected and issued some sort of rebuilt title before you can get tags for it. You have to be weary because he may say it was stolen and stripped, but it may have been wrecked and rebuilt.

I have never heard of this exhaust option from the factory on the 06+ models but I don't know all that much about them. Sounds like BS to me though, highly doubt that's the case.

Another thing to remember is if it was stolen they probably took the cluster. So the replacement cluster may not reflect the actual millage. You need to run a carfax and talk to the original owner to get some more details.

yeah, I searched for good 3 hours on this custom exhaust option for 07+ models...

It is a 100+ mile distance, maybe I shouldn't go so far for the deal, although it is really cheap: 18000 for 07 s2000. 20k miles

thanks guys, something smelled a bit fishy and was just verifying it.

If anyone else knows of this "deal" for custom honda exhaust, please let it known

Im just gonna take a guess and say it might of been a comptech exhaust. They look OEM and you will still retain your factory warranty.
