1998 Honda Civic, consuming oil?
Ok, I have a bone stock 1998 Honda Civic, automatic. So I go to check the oil today and notice its at half, so i just go and top it off. I pour about 1/5 of a qt in so its topped off and start the car and let it run for a few minutes. I turn off the engine and check again and now its below half (dipstick). So I fill the car up again and top it off and drive it around for about 5 minutes, check the dipstick when I get back, and its at the same level. Is there some type of problem?
bump. I think I found the problem, there is like two little solenoids under the dizzy that are like mounted on top of the tranny. I believe I need a new gasket there. Does anyone know what that part is called? Thanks

Those would be the automatic transmission shift solenoids. But you shouldn't have engine oil coming from there. Also when you check your oil you need to at least wait a few minutes before checking the level.
