Just wondering what is the best fuel for the 4 cylinder honda accord with vtech? I currently put the 87 octane from canadian tire gas. But one day i had to fill up at a shell and I put there bronze 87 octane in and it seem to preform better, also I think it caused my check engine light to turn off. When I went back to canadian tire gas I think the check engine light came back on. I have 2000 Honda accord coupe. Any suggestions?

Do some gases run better?

I am not asking about different octane levels, I am wondering which gas company is the best? I am comparing the same or similar fuel octane levels.

You will see no benefits from running higher grade fuel. Your car was engineered to run best on standard 87 Octane.

 

I used the same 87 octane at shell and canadian tire. But when i used the shell gas I think i felt a diffrence.

 

the only time you notice a difference in octane is when you have vehicles with "ping" ... such as the ls1 camaros ... or a beefed up car of course
