Lude door lock interchangeable on both sides?
My brother is about to get my cousin's 91 Prelude, however someone tried to break in it recently, and they messed up the door lock, so the driver side door lock cylinder is all digged up. Is it possible to interchange the passenger door lock with the driver side so that he can at least open the driver side with the key instead of the passenger side?
Which other cars could I get a used lock from a junk yard and it would still fit in the 91 Prelude?
Is there any better tech websties specifically for 3rd gen Ludes? I do not see much 3rd gen activitiy here.

I checked and the left and right door lock cylinders are different part#. This is probably because the are "mirror" images of each other.
Majestichonda shows they run $36.
71672 016 1 CYLINDER, R. DOOR No Color 51.08 35.76
71673 017 1 CYLINDER, L. DOOR No Color 51.08 35.76

Oh thanks! I checked after I posted and noticed that as well. I guess this wont work then.
Where could I get a Honda part number for it, and not just Magestic Honda's part number (they use their own numbers). I want to compare it with other models to see if other cars would have the same lock cylinder, like Accord, Integra, Civic or something.

I found the part numbers.
Prelude Front door lock cylinder part number:
72146-SE0-J02
FITS
88-91 Prelude ALL
86-89 Accord- All Doors,LX, LXI, SEI but NOT DX
NOT
86-89 Accord DX Does not fit DX models
The part number for the Passenger side is 72146-SE0-J03. This would mean that it would not fit, because the part numbers are different. I used http://www.hondapartsdeals.com and searched for the different cars.
