Default my 97 cx hatch

just picked it up 3 days ago
97 cx hatch
120k miles
completely stock just lowered it the first day i picked it up on some sprint progress springs with agx shocks nothing special have a pic will have more of it with the new rims tommorow current rims are coming off...

no they are 16 vlaves, it would be a d16y7, atleast thats what the 99-00 had, like my 00 cx

Correct. 96-00 CX and DX used the D16Y7.

only difference is probably the manifold. the cx model intake manifold opens upwards while the dx model opens to the side like the b series.

wrong

96-00 cx and dx is the d16y7 with the throttlebody that sits on top

the ex has the throttlebody on the side which is the d16y8 vtec

ppl put the ex auto manifold on the dx motor for better air flow

yea thats why i was wondering i know 92-95 cx's come with 8 valve motors thats why i wasnt sure if ek hatch's came with 8 valves too

hey guys totally forgot to repost and reply well since then i have installed:
2000 si rims with brand new kumho esctas a carbon fiber duckbill(seibon) and a fujita cold air intake a 2000 SI cluster and knock off spoon mirrors and a new OEM rear bumper old one had a big dent and new OEM front headlights have a couple other parts just havent installed goin kinda slow cuz of cash flow...had a siR lip had a little bit too much damage if any one has a used clean one PM me...
heres how it stands now
