4th gen. prelude header question
i see a dc header for 4th gen prelude for sale, thing me or the person selling it dont know whether its for the 2.2 or 2.3 engine, is there any difference in header/downpipe design for those engines? if so i would like to know. really appreciate it thanks guys
there is a difference. the headers for an h23 will be farther spaced apart. the difference is quite significant and you should be able to tell by just comparing the headers to the engine.
as for the downpipes, there is also a difference...the h23 go up slightly higher i believe? it's a tiny difference but enough that you can't use one with the other.

Im in the process of a h23 - h22 swap right now and.. I was going to try a vtec dc header with a h23 dc downpipe, I guess it wont work, I also have the stock jdm header with no downpipe. But my problem i guess is that the h23 cat back wont reach the vtec downpipe.
The vtec has different bolt patterns on the header, and shorter downpipe. as far as i have read on this site.

The DC Sports downpipes between the H23 and H22 are the same. The difference is the primaries (top portion of the header). Yes, that means you can mount DC Sport primaries to an 'H23' downpipe, and vice versa.

notice... He said the DC sports stuff is interchangable... Stock parts are not. I have seen a few people match them up somehow with some good effort, but the stock parts do not bolt up.
