I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to keep with my stock intake manifold or would it be a better idea to get like a skunk2 intake manifold? or some sort of intake manifold other than stock? Also what would be the best tuning system... I was thinking Hondata, or like a Apexi SAFC II, what do you guys think? I am going to be boosting the car after I get out of college in a couple of years and want to know what system would be the best? And also would it be possible to obtain between 500-600hp on pump gas? I am going to have a fully built motor of course and the whole 9 yards. Any input would be nice.
-Thanks Guys.

lots of things to cover here. maybe we should start small. how many miles are on your motor? do you think it has good compression?
yes you can make that much hp on pump gas.
skunk2 manifolds are basically ITR manifolds. and the ITR manifold is designed to optimize output with the use of oversized stock cam gears. so dont get a new manifold unless you get cam gears, like JUN or ITR cam gears.
once you have that step done you need to tune. before you get a program, get a tuner. a physical person who will develop you motor to its best potential. once you get a tuner, ask them what programs they use and go from there.
when you say fully built motor and boost, you have a lot to think about and need a lot of money to do it right... dont be afraid to ask questions.

Well I am going to school for engineering and the money hopefully won't be an issue: lol. I already know quite a bit about these motors, but it never hurts to ask questions. The motor has about 135XXX and I just rebuilt the head... new valves, valve guides etc... and it has good compression across all four cylinders. Also my buddy and I rebuilt his ecotec motor in his cobalt and boosted it, so i know what needs to be done to a motor with a Turbo application. Yeah the ITR doesn't have IAB so thats why I was wondering if it would be a good idea to get a different intake manifold for driving around before I get my motor built and boosted. As well as a tune, I want to get it tuned as NA right now before I get my build and turbo. Pretty much get the foundation established before I built it. Also If I can get between 500-600hp, should I lower the compression, or just retard timing? Or it there any other thing I can do to prevent pre-detonation?
-Just asking the Pros
-Thanks again

im running 11.8:1 compression with p30 pistons. my timing is retarded slightly, too. this week im waiting for my peakboost kit to come in.
if you want me to send you my build list so you can compare, pm me.
