Hey guys, I was thinking of doing a all motor B20vtec build. I was thinking of using a GSR head since it yields more compression, but I was thinking what if I got a B16 head and milled it. Do you guys think it would be better to a get a B16 head since it flows better and to then mill the head to obtain better compression? Also, how much is it usually for a machine shop to mill the head? Thanks

 

if you want better compression, get better pistons

 

if you dont need to do not mill the head you migh need that to save your *** one day

 

you can take the middle layer out of your headgasket to yield more compression

 

yea thanks guys, i was planning on putting higher compression pistons and a better head gasket anyway. I just wanted to know your guys opinions of milling the head, I figured it would be the best of both worlds since i would have a higher compression plus a better flow. I was just wondering if it would be a worthwhile idea, but i guess it would just be easier to go with a GSR head. Just for general knowledge do you guys have any idea how much it costs to mill the head.
